Tomatoes and Potatoes, Same Tree?

A unique plant that grows both tomatoes and potatoes is to be launched in Britain for the first time. Dubbed the “ketchup and chips tree”, the bizarre TomTato is aimed at families who have limited garden space and those living in flats.

And the wacky hybrid which has taken six years to perfect through hard graft, is expected to fly off shelves when it hits Morrisons stores on Monday.

The two-in-one which can grow to a metre high, has cherry tomatoes on top and white potatoes underground. Developed by Ipswich-based horticultural firm Thompson and Morgan, the plants are grown in the Netherlands for Morrisons. READ MORE:

Chobani CEO Gives Employees 10% of Company

Greek yogurt is known for being rich in flavor and protein. Now, some employees at Chobani could become rich themselves. On Tuesday, founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya announced that he would be giving all of his 2,000 full-time workers awards that could be worth up to 10 percent of the privately held company's future value if it becomes public or is sold. Each employee will be given "Chobani Shares" or award units, based on workers' tenure and role at the company, which could convert to cash or shares in the event of an initial public offering or a sale. The value of the awards are dependent on company performance, however, and have the potential to be worth nothing if the company doesn't meet performance metrics. The New York Times, which first reported the news, said that if Chobani was valued at $3 billion, the average employee payout could be $150,000, and some long-tenured employees could see windfalls possibly worth more than $1 million. (A Chobani spokesperson declined to confirm those amounts.)

Faeces Bacteria Found on KFC Ice

London- The Food Standard Agency FSA has carried out an investigation to get the restaurants with poor hygienic conditions and substandard food. The investigation took an interesting turn when investigators found Birmingham KFC outlet among the list of unhygienic restaurants as they served ice contaminated with bacteria found in faeces.

Dr Margarita Gomez from Leeds Beckett University tested the samples which were collected from KFC by an undercover investigation officer and declared how the presence of bacteria could cause illness to any person who drinks icy water from KFC.
The samples were taken in Birmingham, Martineau Place KFC outlet and reporters were served icy water polluted with bacteria from waste products.
The investigation to identify and close down different restaurants with poor hygiene conditions is being carried out by Reporters from BBC One’s Rip Off Britain along with food standard agency FSA. Samples are collected from every outlet in the country.

Real Live Castaway Found while Shooting River Monsters

Animal Planet's River Monsters captures suspenseful encounters with dangerous sea creatures, but during a recent shoot, the crew came face-to-face with something they never expected to see.

An episode took a dramatic turn when the show's host, Jeremy Wade, and the film crew spotted a castaway on a largely deserted island off the coast of Australia.

The man had said his final prayer and was "preparing to die," according to Stephen Shearman, the director of the episode "Death Down Under," and one of the five people who found the castaway.

"He had said his last prayer," Shearman told InsideEdition.com. "He was prepared to die and meet his maker.".......READ MORE

Guinness World Record Broken By Aaron's

Who really needs words on this one, but here they are anyway. So.... A Guinness World Record was recently set and the video was released. It shows 1.200 people holding mattresses behind them and falling backward like a pack of lined up dominoes. Smashing into each other, one after the next, they created the longest mattress flop on Thursday in Maryland.

Of course they needed some assistance and who else better than a dominoes expert and certified by a Guinness World Record adjudicator. The previous record was 1,150.

The CEO of Aaron's pushed over the first vertical mattress and it was on from there. It may have taken 13 minutes and 38 seconds for all the kings men to fall, but it paid off.

Aaron's will be donating 1200 mattresses to Washington in an effort to aid in homelessness and ending poverty.

Way to Go Aaron's!!! Now, let's watch this human domino line.

California middle schooler found meth disguised as candy

IONE, Calif., April 6  -- A California middle-schooler found methamphetamine that looked like candy on school grounds, police said.
Chief Tracy Busby of the Ione Police Department said the boy found it at Ione Junior High and told school officials, who confiscated the drugs.
"We'll be working with the schools to see if we have any more of this activity," Busby said.
The candy looked just like hard-shelled tablet candies such as MM's or Sweet Tarts.
School officials the news the candy tested positive for methamphetamine and informed parents of the incident in a letter. I hope a blood test was implemented to make sure the children were okay.
"It was scary to see that these drugs are masked as candy and could be passed off to any student as such," the principal and vice principal wrote in a statement. "It is worrisome that it can come in the forms of very popular types of snacks that we see sold daily. Even the packaging can be similar."
It's one thing to do drugs, it's another thing to take a chance with an unsuspecting child's life. Somethings just shouldn't be.

Patriots file suit for 'Deflategate' suffering

Tom Brady and the Patriots organization took a beating for the 'Deflategate' issue.  However, the fans also felt they were under stress, aggravation and suffering. Since they lost the first round draft pick from the assigned punishment. The fans filed a federal complaint Tuesday seeking to block enforcement of the penalty.Even younger fans won't go to games with their parents like a little girl in Connecticut who thinks the games are fixed and won't attend. Even a fan from Florida who pays a hell of a lot to watch the Pats on NFL Sunday Ticket is disappointed.“Letting the powerful oppress us when we’ve done nothing wrong is about as un-American as it gets,” attorney Seth T. Carey, who filed the suit on behalf of the fans, said in a statement. “That attitude is the polar-opposite of what the real patriots fought and died for on the very ground that NFL owners sit while they rake in billions of dollars from us fans.
Representatives for the Patriots and the NFL did not respond to requests for comment.

The complaint states that there has never been any proof to back up the “Deflategate” allegations -- that the Patriots deliberately deflated footballs. The NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell, the complaint argues, relied on “false premises and biased ‘investigations’ and untrue ‘facts’” to arrive at the decision to strip the team of its first-round draft pick.
The complaint accuses Goodell and the NFL of common law fraud, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and racketeering, among other claims. Fans were harmed by the unfair treatment of the team, the complaint alleges -- both financially, as ticket-holders, and emotionally.
In an affidavit attached to the suit, fan Michael R. DiMauro, of Florida, detailed the suffering he experienced during Deflategate -- including the moment on May 11, 2015, when Goodell announced the first-round pick penalty, a moment in which DiMauro said “my world would change forever.”
He lost at least one full night of sleep, he said in the affidavit. He started petitions and wrote letters to protest the decision, but to no avail.
“I feel that the pain that I suffer through has caused me to be stressed out, and even so stressed out that I cannot fully run my pro pick’em game, Beat Mike, the way that I want to anymore,” he wrote.
